...perspective...
...PERSPECTIVE=YOUR REALITY...
...over the weekend I had the opportunity to jump behind the wheel of a Ferrari and drive it the way it was meant to be driven...
...on a race-track, "hugging the apex" and riding it at 8000 rpm's on the straight away...
...I love the adrenaline!!!
...strapped into these beasts...it is a fine line between having fun and getting pretty hairy out there!!!
...obviously...as you would imagine... the owners of this business don't let people go on the track alone...
...each car is equipped with a professional racer at your side...safety and fun are the major concerns!!!
...here is where the story unfolds...
...my instructor in my vehicle, a young guy who couldn't have been having more fun...
...his dream of showing people how to "unleash the monster" under the hood of these beasts, was exactly what he LOVED to do...
...a recent immigrant from Brazil...was thrilled to be working at this race-school...HIS DREAM!
...after a number of laps at break-neck speeds....we pulled back into the pit...high-fives all around!!!
...a quick water break...and I was already eyeing up the next vehicle in my race package!
...the last car in my race package was an Audi R8-V10...fast and FUN!
...much to my chagrin, my instructor for this last portion of my day...was replaced by another instructor...
...this one...a former pro-race driver as well...and a former member of Richard Petty's Race Team...(ok, pretty impressive)
...still numb from the 140mph+ speeds and the G's through the corners...I was ready for this...
UNTIL...
...I strapped into to my 6 point harness...and all I could feel was my new instructor's vibe...
...not a good one...
...my next few laps were weighted down with the heaviness of this guy's attitude and his lamenting of a past gone sour ("I went from a member of Richard Petty's race team to this!!!!") and soon my experience went from extraordinary to ordinary...
...I didn't want to hear this...NO ONE DOES!
...here is the thing...SAME JOB...EXACTLY...different vantage point...
...one PERSON IS happy to be there...and MAKES EVERY EXPERIENCE SPECIAL
...the other is miserable...AND BRINGS EVERYONE DOWN AROUND THEM!
...You CHOOSE Your REALITY...
...LIFE IS TOO SHORT...
...if you find yourself in this NEGATIVE REALITY LOOP...maybe it is time to step back and take a look at your world from a new perspective!

1- a huge congrats to our pal and long-time client Ryan Marsch who just picked up Prairie Football Conference's Offensive Player of the Year...by breaking the CJFL all time Yards Passing Record and tieing the all-time Touchdown Passing Record...with the CJFL Awards sounds like there could be a National "nod" coming his way for CJFL Offensive Player of the Year!!!
2- Ashley Lanz- fresh off the plane from the PanAm Games with a Silver Medal in Fastball...congrats Ash...hope to see you back at "the Machine" soon!
3- Mark Lloyd...winging his way to Florida later this week to participate in the US Ultimate Championships with his Canadian National Championship Team from Toronto....as we say at ELITE...Onward and Upward...let's make it happen Mark!
