...back in the mid-90's I had the privilege of running a CFL Medical Team...

...I was a 25 year old who didn't mind working 12 hour days...
...as you can imagine...the world of pro-sport is not forgiving...in any way-shape or form...

...after a couple years...of "not dropping the ball"...our GM at the time...
...pulled me into his office and gave me an opportunity to shine...

...he promoted me after 2 years of running the tightest training team in the CFL to Assistant Director of Football Ops and Medical Team Director....

...it wasn't the title...it wasn't the increased responsibility...
...it was that someone other than me, BELIEVED  I could do it...

...to have someone BELIEVE in you and your abilities is a GREAT THING...
...and it is hard to find...

...and luckily it found me.

...to this day, I attribute those years of working with Ken Bishop as the foundation of ELITE and our VISION...

...and personally....no other person in my professional career has left such an indelible impression on me...

...from his generosity, vision, sense of humor and wisdom...
...to his ability to allow everyone around him to define their own meaning of success...

...Just yesterday, I heard that Ken's health is failing him...
...So today, in honor of all of the things that Ken's belief in the people around him helped create....
...please do this..

...take someone aside who you may consider a mentor of yours....and thank them for their belief in you...

...it may turn into something great...
...just as Ken Bishop's belief in a 25 year old kid helped build this thing, that I call...
