...Greesh is the word...
...so, if you are a regular reader of this blog, you may remember a few months ago when I bumped into a fine young fellow at my local 7-11 named Greyish...well, after a brief meeting and discussion of what I did (as I am a daily "sev" patron at 4:45ish every morning), he spoke about how beautiful it was that ELITE's job was to make the body strong for the soul's journey...
well, this morning...GREESH 2....pulling into the parking lot of my local sev, I saw a familiar face smiling at me from behind the glass...back from his vacation-trip home to India...Greesh was in chewing the fat with a former co-worker...to my surprise, he remember ELITE and the job we did, so much so...that he has been following the blog ever since AND actually made it down to his first Physique Contest at Pantages over the weekend...excited about what he saw...Greesh and his young wife have made the resolution to start taking better care of their bodies...
"to give their soul more opportunity to experience this world"...
...Thank you Greesh once again for putting it into perspective....
By the way...this is how ELITE did at "the SHOW" on the weekend.
...for the 5th year in a row...MS.MANITOBA comes from ELITE PERFORMANCE!
the lovely Amber Pawlyshyn dazzled the audience with a truly amazing physique and captured the crown for 2010...
...the bodybuilding overall title came down to a battle of a lightweight and heavyweight both from ELITE...with Maggie MacDonald in her first year of competing in bodybuilding captured the lightweight title and the BEST POSER award...great job...
...Fitness...Coco Kissack and Joyce Wiedeman split 2 categories- 2 and 3rd and 3rd and 2nd...with two of the best physiques on stage you can see that their off-seasons were fruitful!
...Incredi-boy Aaron MacKay...handily walked away with first place in lightweight- great shape...great conditioning...great kid!
...Ol'Man Dunton...placed 2nd and 3rd in his two classes...with his trademark 'beyond ripped" conditioning...has changed the look of bodybuilding in the province. Great job pal!
..."COS"...Chris Garrick, placed second in a tough Grand masters class...over 50 years old! Great work!
...Janice Moore, who waddled in here about 1 1/2 years ago with a re-constructed knee to be rehabbed...placed a strong 4th in her class...a first year competitor has been through a tough journey to put herself on that stage...and we are very proud of her results and amazed by her drive...great job Ms. Moore!
...Rita Ghosh, 4th in her class...just one year ago, walked out of Novice as a spectator thinking "could I do that", we the answer was yes...and you did it well...ditching 40 lbs to compete, Rita looked great! Good job, great journey!~
..Lainie Wintrup...placed third, just a couple points out of 2nd in masters and 2nd in lightweight! Great showing...Lainie is one of the most driven people that I have met...not only getting ready for a show...but "on the side" almost singlehandedly redefining the infrastructure of Provincial Rugby in Manitoba!!! Great job Lane...
well folks...that is about it! Stay tuned for updates on what is happening at the box and throughout ELITE NATION over the next couple of months....
Until next time ELITE NATION...
onward and upward,
