...it can happen to anyone at anytime...and even ...YOU, can't prepare for it...or can you?

...obviously being blindsided often can't be prevented, but how you "roll-out of it" can...

...and that will determine your Wins-Loss ratio...however YOU choose to measure that...

...blindsided by "beaver-fever", Giardia...or some other heinous "water" borne illness... I have spent the past 72 hours...hot... no,cold...freezing, boiling and overall in rough shape...

...I have had many hours laying down and pacing the halls to review, THE "how could I have let this happen?" futile exercise...

...instead, I trusted that the "well-oiled" ELITE machine could take care of itself while I slowly got acquainted with solid foods once again...

...but this only happened, because I have had some practice.. You see, back in the day when I used to have to pack an entire mobile medical clinic for 50 pro-football players ...everything from I.V. units, casting, catheters, to painkillers and antibiotics...I got used to planning for the "blindside"...

....Cal Murphy, the legendary CFL coach...who, I hold with an enormous amount of respect, once said to me, a 25 year old kid with a big-job on his hands..."don't worry fISH, I don't expect you to prevent things from happening, I only expect you to fix them when they do...and well"...

...motivated not by only success, but also by a fear of failure...our team became the top Training Team in the CFL...once heralded by a local GM as the "without a doubt the top training staff in North America"...

...We tried to prevent as best we could with training, education and communicating our goals and intentions with our athletes...but what we did best was prepare as well as we could for the "blindside"...so when it came, and it always did...we rolled out of it just fine...actually better than just fine...

...Team ELITE works in the same way...but better, with one goal in mind- the "organism" functions as one...with planning and forethought any "blindside" can be shaken off and rolled out of very easily...
