On the frozen ground of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba's finest young Rugby Players gathered this weekend to work with ELITE and the National Rugby Team Coach.

After 2 grueling days of testing and some great efforts...I thought I would take the opportunity to show these guys where they "graded out" this weekend...

Josh Hart...had you been at the CFL Evaluation Camp the week prior...you would have been tied for 6th place (out of approx 50) athletes in the SHUTTLE...in Canada's top 50 College Football Players...(at 17 years old

....in the Academy (as per National Guidelines) there are 3 levels of Performance Standards...
.... Academy Level for Senior Level Provincial Players
....National Standards for any Player that would like to represent Canada at the international test level...
...and ELITE, and Athlete that would like to be a top level international player....

Over the weekend...in athletes from 16-18 years of age:

In our 10 meter testing we had 3 athletes test at the National Level and 2 at the ELITE Level...

In our 30 meter testing we had 5 athletes test at the National Level and 3 at the ELITE Level...

OUTSTANDING!!!

Boys, great job this weekend...a special mention to Brendan Kowal who tested GREAT in every test  AND has made HUGE improvements over the Academy season...stay focused and the world is yours.  Your pal, fISH!!!
