Just this morning, I had a phone call from a trainer applying for work at ELITE...

"Unfortunately," I explained, " we do not hire off the street."

"We only hire PEOPLE who have been National Level Athletes and have been successful clients of ELITE for a minimum of 2 years..."

This trainer and I stayed on the line an talked for a couple of minutes, he lamented on how difficult it was to be a trainer in the city of Winnipeg and how LUCKY(!!!) we were to be so busy...

REALLY?  Lucky...?

"...the harder you work, the luckier you get..." 
is something that was told to me many years ago by former 3 time Grey Cup  Champion, Blue Bomber Head Coach, Cal Murphy.

Since then, I always found it funny when people think success has anything to do with luck...

I arrived at the box this morning to prep for the day just after 5:00 this morning as I have over 3000 times since we have opened...and coincidentally for some reason something jumped out at me more than it does on most days.  If you have been here, you have seen it...if you haven't here it is...

NOTHING IN THE WORLD CAN TAKE THE PLACE OF PERSISTENCE....

...talent will not, nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent
...genius will not, unrewarded genius is almost a proverb
...education will not, the world is full of educated failures

PERSISTENCE AND DETERMINATION ALONE ARE OMNIPOTENT.
