Here it is December 3, 2009...
Another Football season over, another hockey season 1/2 over, volleyball and basketball on the go...the Nutcracker coming up...
...during a time of year where we should all be looking at how lucky we are...regardless of religious beliefs, take some time to enjoy what you have....
...we often get lost of the hustle of everyday life and take the time to really enjoy where we are....it is your life...
...AND IT IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW!...
ELITE UPDATE-
It is a fiery season down here at the sweat box on Ness...
Once again a congrats to Tom Hall- CIS Russ Jackson Award winner for student athlete of the year- CIS FOOTBALL
THE ELITE FOOTBALL ACADEMY PROGRAM is currently full- We will be taking more applications in January of 2010...
Congrats to Rachel Cockrell on being HS Volleyball's Most Valuable Player- great job youngster....
Congrats to Shaq Armstrong in being 1 of 2 Manitoban's added to the first 90 players (to be cut down to 45) for TEAM WORLD- Football... great job youngster, we are looking forward to being part of your success!
Congrats to Brendan O'Donnell as being one of 3 Manitoban's being named to Team Canada West....look for that name for years to come in your sports edition...looking forward to watching it!
...AND LASTLY...
Each year since 2002- ELITE has had the good fortune to help those less fortunate...it started as a way for me to remember my grandfather, Sam Rhynard....truly one of the greatest men I have ever known...and to this day continue to realize his strength and greatness...
....over the years we have raised 10's of thousands of dollars for families who can really use some extra kindness...
and for 2009- ELITE NATION...IS TACKLING IT'S MOST Aggressive GOAL TO DATE... there is an organization that helps young mothers improve their living situations it is called WINGS OF POWER...
...ELITE NATION IS ATTEMPTING TO RAISE 5000.00 to help their programming for 2010... this money will go a long way...donations can be made at ELITE NESS OR CALL (204) 831-6758...
...let's dig in and make it a better place...
