O Canada!
Wow...it is great to be back in this COUNTRY OF OURS!
Getting away is great, but coming back is even better!
...as positive as we try to be with the energy and effort that we put into our daily lives, often there are things that we take for granted... and sometimes it takes being removed from an environment for a bit to really make you appreciated all that we have in this great country of ours...the clean air, wide open spaces, and fresh clean water (especially the delicious fresh taste of JACKSON SPRINGS!)...that being said...I forgot how pleased and proud I am to be Canadian.
A few years ago, a very wise man (my father)...maybe the most positive person I know, introduced me to a term that he pirated from Steven Covey, (author of 7 habits...) it was to "sharpen the saw". The analogy is to cutting wood. If you want to do it effectively and efficiently...the best way to do it, is to not spend all your time cutting. As your saw dulls it behooves you to drop the saw for a while take the time to sharpen it, and get back to it with a razor sharp blade...
Well, ELITE NATION...2 weeks away from ELITE and my blade is razor sharp and ready to cut...I will be back at the box this afternoon and I am looking forward to being part of your performance world once again.
Thanks to all of you who sent me your training logs while I was gone, I have plowed through them this morning and once again, some phenomenal improvements and performances over the last two weeks...
Stay tuned for a couple of HUGE ANNOUNCEMENTS on how ELITE has committed to making athletes in Manitoba that much better! Onward and upward... fISH
